YOUR TASKS
As the Director of Product Management (m/f/d) you will drive and oversee the development of our Hardware and Software products throughout our Lab Automation and LabIT. You will outline, describe and manage them and define “What” and “When”. You will ensure that our products’ profitability, technical possibilities, regulatory requirements, production, and sales opportunities are supporting the overall company’s strategy and goals. Functional responsibilities:
- You drive the definition of our hardware products according to IVDR/MDRR or other applicable regulations and drive software product management best practices and right-sized processes to ensure innovation, market fit, and quality to ensure innovation, market-fit, and quality
- You build strong partnerships with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to align product direction and results and to launch new features and products
- You stay in touch with industry developments, and you are a frequent user of our and other products and regularly talk to customers to become an expert in user needs, product success factors, and competitive landscape
- You create the product roadmap that is aligned with our software and hardware offerings and will bring a profitable product to market
- You create procedures and approaches to help Product Managers and Project Managers to translate product ideas into product requirements and based on them develop, align and manage timelines and release cycles
- You, together with our Director of Regulatory Affairs, make sure that our products are in line with regulatory compliance, customer acceptance , and data protection guidelines
- You synchronize and orchestrate our product portfolio and product roadmaps as well as manage product lifecycle - from go-live to fade-out
- You make sure that the documentation and testing results match product requirements and validate the product on the market
- You are responsible for budget allocations
- You monitor, report on, and do tactical adjustments based on the performance of product KPIs
- You will take care of Continuous Improvement of the processes and KPIs owned by Product
Leadership responsibilities:
- You will lead, manage and control business operations within the Product function
- You ensure corporate values are reinforced throughout the teams, through deliberate communication, training, and development of subordinate management staff, and you serve as a role model for leadership within the business unit
- You will enable and develop talent according to the identified career path and skill gaps and take responsibility for Talent forecasting and choosing top-notch employees for your function
- You will take care of OKR setting on the functional level and for your direct lines
- You will engage with other functions and Directors to meet our company goals
- You will be the representative of the function and inveox towards external parties (events etc.) as an industry known expert for your field
ANFORDERUNGEN
- You have previous experience in Med-Tech, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry, outlining complex hardware and software solutions (automation, Big Data, SaaS)
- You have a profound work record for working in Product Leadership positions such as Head of Product, Chief Product Officer, etc.
- You have proven knowledge of creating and executing roadmaps for complex products
- You have excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills and you can work under pressure
- You have excellent business analytics skills to perform root cause analysis activities and analyze customer feedback
- Your assertiveness helps you move quickly and take well-founded points of view on critical issues without being abrasive
- You can implement notable change with a down-to-earth approach and have the ability to see the details and step back and see the bigger picture
- You are fluent in English (fluency in German would be a huge asset)
